The popular BamBam, also known as Bamike Olawunmi, from Big Brother Naija, has stated that “sex for roles” in the Nigerian film business is a “scam.”

In an interview for the most recent edition of the podcast Secrets Behind the Scenes, the mother of two said that after having sex with eager young actresses, directors would frequently break their promises to give them significant parts.

The reality personality remembered getting cast in a little role, and then a producer offered her the keys to his hotel room.

Using the occasion, Bambam stressed that “sex for roles” is not worth the act and advised budding actors not to fall for it.

In her words;

“Sex for roles is a scam. It’s not worth it. Some of them [victims] what they are paying them at the end of that production is not more than N50,000, N100,000. Don’t be deceived o! It’s a lie. It [sex for role] is a scam.

“The one that I did waka pass that dem give me N5,000 and the guy [filmmaker] was giving me his hotel room key to hold. Ah! I don’t want to mention names.”
