In Ibadan, Three Communities are attacked by Robbers

The early hours of Tuesday saw three communities in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, invaded by armed robbers.

The robbers allegedly stole cash, cell phones, jewelry, and other goods.

Among the affected communities are Alaja, Seriki, and Ogogo on the state’s brand-new Ibadan/Oyo Expressway in the Akinyele Local Government Area.

According to a PUNCH reporter who visited the neighborhood, the incident happened around three in the morning.

One of the local leaders, Raji Kazeem, who confirmed the occurrence to our reporter, stated, “Yes, it was true. Armed robbers broke into some homes in the middle of the night. You may have noticed landlords and landladies conversing in various groups for this reason“.

As of the time of publication, Adewale Osifeso, the state police public relations officer, was unavailable since he did not return calls or messages left on his mobile phone.

We’ll give more specifics later.
